Veolia Transport (Transdev) and Trenitalia joined forces in 2011 to create Thello, a new railway company. We had the privilege of supporting the Franco-Italian team in the creation of the train brand: name, logo, train livery, applications, guidelines etc. The name Thello is short, simple and welcoming. The Thello logo reflects the service promise: the essentials well done. Thello logo is off-trend, not following the fashions of that moment (3D liquid or metal effect) No fancy or superfluous. A readable, accessible typography able to last without going out of style. A symbol reminiscent of the train wheel. Paris-Venice with Thello takes a little night. Marseille-Milan with Thello by day. We are very pleased with the Thello full covering livery, designed for this connection. We believe in the power of simple design.
