Landgoed ‘t Ross
Landgoed ‘t Ross dates back to the 14th century. One can only imagine the many metamorphoses the estate has undergone throughout the millennia. Rescued from any further institutional degradation in 1990, Landgoed ‘t Ross has been caringly and attentively restored to its original splendor. The surrounding pastures and gardens are in the process of being richly landscaped. Landgoed ‘t Ross is evolving into a private residence, a working estate –– wine and confections will be produced there –– and a biannual destination for a discerning public.
Kreeft created a menagerie of colorful silhouetted symbols representing various fauna and flora, assigning a distinctive charm to the house style, which is at once whimsical and elegant. Various combinations can be employed to create just the right look and feel for the designated purpose. The typography is hand-drawn and, like the use of silhouettes, engenders a sense of nostalgia for the past. Developed as a visual language rather than as a logo, the Landgoed ‘t Ross identity is designed to evolve along with the estate.
